My review

This book is a collection of four wonderful novellas from four talented authors. Each story is beautifully written. I really enjoy novellas, I love how each story moved along with great pacing and never felt rushed. The characters were enduring and memorable. (I especially loved young Adam.)

Summary

This book really only needs to be described in one word: perfect. Okay, that isn't the end of my review, but this book truly is perfect. I loved it. All of my favorite characters are here and represented well. Mater, oh Mater. The conversations her and Charlie had and heartfelt and tender. Just her being in a scene was soothing and loving. She is a calming, gentle presence. As Charlie's and Artemis's relationship developed, they had some sweet, tender moments. Getting to know each other's families had many wonderful moments, and sometimes hilarious. One thing that touched me, a special character for Artemis gives her some much needed advice and it really struck me personally, he told her to "keep to the light". I don't think I will ever forget that. There are some scenes towards the end that have to do with Charlie's late father that had me in tears. I will never forget this book. My review

Healing Hearts is a gem of a book. It was wonderful being in Savage Wells again. It was like coming home to an old friend. The characters are well written and as charming as I remember them from the first book. Miriam is a lovely addition. She is full of mystery at first and I loved how she entered the heart of the town. The pacing is written perfectly. Gideon was, of course, wonderful. Hawk, Paisley, Cade, essentially. The whole town made this book what it was, Tansy and Andrew. This book is an absolute joy.

My review

Long Journey Home is another masterpiece from beloved author Sarah M. Eden. I truly love this series of books and Long Journey Home is a perfect addition to the series. Maura and Ryan were wonderful characters. I enjoyed the plot and the conflict the characters had between wanting to be friends and remaining rivals on who keeps the farm each person desperately needs. Maura is keeping a secret, and when Ryan finds out, he can't help but feel for her. I loved the connection with the wonderful O'Connor family. They brighten up every page they are on. I enjoyed their continued story through these characters. I laughed, I cried, and when the story ended, I had a big smile.

My Review

This book is an absolute dream come true for Sarah Eden fans! The Lancasters and the Jonquils in one glorious book. I absolutely loved this book. Every page is a treasure. The writing is flawless, the characters are fantastic. Each of these characters holds a special place in my heart, and to have them in one book was wonderful. There is a particular paragraph on page 55 that shows how well the author truly knows her characters and what a talented author she is. Arabella was fabulous and instantly likable. Linus too, and he has a heart of gold. There are so many enduring and sweet moments that had my emotions on high, all the while leaving me smiling also.

My review

Ashes on the Moor is another beautiful story told by a brilliant author. I love Sarah Eden's books. She has an expert way of telling a story. The author created a perfectly subtle way of explaining the different dialects to the reader, all while keeping the story and characters flowing. The reader was learning Smeatley's way of speaking along with Evangeline. I appreciated that. I marveled at the detailed setting and the depth and growth of characters. Right away, the reader is caught up in the hardships of Evangeline and Lucy's sad beginning. I loved how Evangeline pulled herself up and did what had to be done. Dermot and Ronan were also delightful characters. Ronan had a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved this book.

My Review

Fairy tale retellings are my favorite books to read and six of them written by some of my favorite authors, makes this book even more wonderful. All six books are written well and are very enjoyable. When I started reading each story, I felt the stories and characters were well established and I was able to follow the stories with ease. I instantly was drawn into each story and thoroughly enjoyed each author’s take on these classic fairy tale stories. I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite, as each novella was so well done. I loved each one for the unique and creative stories they were.

My Review

For Love or Honor is another masterpiece by Sarah Eden.  Sarah is one of my favorite authors.  I can always count on a well developed, lovely story from her.  Her writing is perfect.  This book is heartbreakingly beautiful.  I ached for Stanley and his hardships.  He is so brave, but needed to learn to forgive himself for the battlefield.  Accepting his wounds was his toughest battle.  I loved Marjie, she had her own hardships to overcome as well, but I loved how strong she was.  Pluck was a delight.  He brought humor and help wherever he was.  There is a great scene with Pluck and Marjie, that is very touching.  Sorrel had her struggles, but I admire her character and the amazing women she is.  Phillip was wonderfully Phillip.  I love all the Jonquil brothers, but he holds a special place in my heart.    

5 out of 5 stars.  I loved this book. It makes me want to read all the Jonquil books again and again.
