REVIEW

Just wow! This book is non-stop and action packed and so good. I burned through this book. I was cursing the fact I had to work and sleep many times while reading. The Falcon Point Suspense series is becoming a favorite of mine. These two authors, Traci Hunter Abramson and Sian Ann Bessey, know these characters and it shows how well Cole, Isabelle, Lars, and Marit are written. The work so well together the couples are wonderful. It may sound cliche but I was literally holding my breath at times, especially with the exciting ending. I really hope there are more books coming in this series. You could read these books as standalones but you’d have a better feel for the characters with their backstories. There’s also a shoutout to my favorite “code breaker”.

About the Authors

 

Traci Hunter Abramson was born in Arizona, where she lived until moving to Venezuela for a study abroad program. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, eventually resigning in order to raise her family. She credits the CIA with giving her a wealth of ideas as well as the skills needed to survive her children’s teenage years. She loves to travel and recently retired after twenty-six years coaching her local high school swim team. She has written forty-five best-selling novels and is an eight-time Whitney Award winner, including 2017 and 2019 Best Novel of the Year.

Sian Ann Bessey was born in Cambridge, England, and grew up on the island of Anglesey off the coast of North Wales. She left her homeland to attend university in the US, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a minor in English. She began her writing career as a student, publishing several articles in magazines while still in college. Since then, she has published historical romance and romantic suspense novels, along with a variety of children’s books. She is a USA Today best-selling author, a Foreword Reviews Book of the Year finalist, and a Whitney Award finalist.

Sian and her husband, Kent, are the parents of five children and the grandparents of three beautiful girls and two handsome boys. They currently live in southeast Idaho, and although Sian doesn’t have the opportunity to speak Welsh very often anymore, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch still rolls off her tongue. Review

The Danger with Diamonds should have been titled Don’t Many Any Plans Until You’re Done Reading. I really enjoyed the action scenes, mixed with some great romance of the two couples, and their developing relationships. I loved how the authors would change of point of views during the highest peaks of action. It made the book impossible to put down. I think my favorite character was Isabelle. She’s tough as nails, and vulnerable at the same time. Marit was also amazing. So smart and aware, all the time. Don’t get me wrong, the cousins were great too. But I can’t really talk about my other favorite characters without spoilers. This was a great read, full of action, exciting twists and turns and excellent, smart characters.

My review

I can’t get enough of the Guardians books by Traci Hunter Abramson. Each one gets better and better. I loved, loved the European setting. (And a visit from Cole). I wanted to go to the bakeries! Cas is so awesome. I wish I could cook like her. Donovan was also a great character. I really enjoyed their investigation. Just the way they thought and worked so well together was enjoyable to read. Another hit for this amazing author.

My review

I absolutely loved how this book was written. The beginning pulls you right in to the story and those first chapters were thrilling and heartbreaking at the same time. The story did slow for a bit after that for me, but it didn't take long for it to pick right back up. Each of the cousins were written well and I loved getting into the head of the bad guy. I am convinced Traci Abramson has magical powers. Magical powers that consist of amazing writing skills, the ability to keep you reading a book until you finish that day/night, and she always leaves you wanting more. Redemption is an action-packed thriller from start to finish. Just when you think a big climax ends and you will get a break in the action, another starts immediately and leaves your heart pounding. I don't think I will ever get tired of reading The Saint Squad, or Guardian books for that matter. While you are turning pages quickly with all the amazing action, there's a sweet, budding romance blooming. Gage and Skyler both have a past and I enjoyed getting to know them and watch them overcome and triumph. All the enduring characters you love from this series are here and better than ever!

Review

Like Traci's well-timed mysteries, this book was hard to put down. I absolutely love how Traci writes her mysteries, because they're always paced so well. I felt this book, although a slow-burn romance, read the same way. There was one aspect of the story that slowed it down for a just a bit, but when that was gone, the story picked right up and stayed strong. I loved the ice-skating. Even though that was never in my cards, I did dance, once upon a time, so it was fun to see both sides of the ballet and ice-skating. I really liked Tyler and Amaliya. They had a fantastic chemistry that makes you cheer for them. Not just for their relationship, but in their ice-skating too.

 Frigid air, skates scraping against the ice, the scent of stale popcorn. Amaliya Marcell sat in one of the twenty thousand seats of the Cap Centre and laced up her figure skates before she tugged her leg warmers into place and watched while twenty hockey players worked through their last drill.

As soon as they finished, they joined her father at center ice.

The great Robert Marcell. Amaliya still missed watching her father compete, but his transition from player to assistant coach to head coach had allowed her to enjoy her routine of spending time with her dad at work. My review

In Harm’s Way is another nail-biting suspenseful ride by this talented author. Every morning I’d grumble in the fact I had to work, taking my time away from reading. The author does an incredible job of weaving some romance into this finely tuned mystery. I thoroughly enjoy the POV changes. I love getting in the heads of the bad guys. Each character is expertly written and I enjoyed being on the island again. My review

This book is another heart pounding, non-stop action ride! Full of page turning thrills and chills. Just when I thought it was safe to breathe, the author pulls the suspense to the max level. Each time I read a new book by this author, it becomes my new favorite. I love, love how she writes. Traci Abramson truly is a master of thrills and suspense. I love the settings of this book too and of course the characters. Nolan and Elle were amazing. Nolan is a rookie Guardian, but I felt he handled what was thrown at him amazingly well. Elle too was a character that was full of surprises. My review

WOW! I loved this book. Each story is full of danger, heart-pounding suspense, evil bad buys, and strong, capable good guys! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I really liked the novella length for each story. This efficiently moved the plot along quickly. I never felt lacking in details or character depth. These are talented authors that really know how to pull in the reader, no matter the length of story. If you asked my favorite, that would be really hard. All were wonderful. Each unique and genuinely great stories. Each moved fast, which I liked.

Review

Sanctuary is another triumph for Traci Hunter Abramson. I loved this book. Her writing, as always, is perfect. The characters are stellar, the plot is twisting and suspenseful. This book has it all. I loved the different plot of this one. Ace is presumed dead, but comes back into Kristi's life, as she is needed to help the Guardians. Right away, there is danger lurking and everyone has their secrets. Old characters make an appearance and the bad guys, well they're bad! This book is part of a series, but they can be read as stand alones. As always with Traci's books, there is action, romance and page turning wonderfulness.

And Reed has no problem pretending to date his old friend Sienna simply because it means he can spend time learning more about Jane. Making a TV series is grueling work but not nearly as difficult as the treacherous adventure that is about to begin with a simple photo taken in the wrong place at the wrong time—an image worth killing for.

When Craig returns to the United States to spend time with Sienna, he's not expecting to spend that time protecting her and Jane. My Review

Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again. I love her books, especially books with the Saint Squad. There is just something comforting about them. They are smart and determined, and all-around great characters. Tripwire is an exciting rush. I love how the author writes her books. The change in points of view is fantastic and it really helps you get into the head of the bad guys and the good guys. The action is heart pounding and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Sienna, Craig, Reed and Jane are amazing characters. 

5 out of 5 stars. Very well done, as always!

My Review

Every new book I read of Traci's becomes my new favorite.  Safe House is awesome! Surprises and suspense on every page. I could not put it down and stayed up WAY past my bedtime so I could finish.  I had to know what was going to happen!  It was so great to have the Saint Squad be in this book too.  I really appreciated the subtle things Traci would do to remind the reader about character traits of the Saint Squad, as it's been a little while since I've read a Saint Squad book.  They are such great characters and Traci writes them so well.  I loved Kade and Renee.  They worked well together and I loved their compatibility.  Renee is so smart and savvy and she really surprised Kade with how awesome she is! This book is fast-paced and very exciting.  So many twists and turns, I loved every minute.  

5 out of 5 stars.  The way it ended, I'm hoping there is another book about The Guardians!
