Goodreads Summary of Curse of the Broomstaff
A secret society of Janitors with wizard-like powers continue their battle, and now, the stakes are even higher. The Bureau of Educational Maintenance is after Alan Zumbro and this time they mean business - deadly business. Spencer, Daisy, and their little team of rebels must find the source of all magical Glop and destroy it before it can destroy the world as we know it. No small task with the BEM and their monster toxites at their heels. It's a wild and dangerous ride as they follow the trail of clues all the way to the hiding place of the mysterious aurans: guardians of a secret landfill. What they discover there will change the way
Spencer sees himself, not to mention the fate of the rebels.
My Review
This is an incredibly entertaining series. I love a fun middle grade series that is clean and exciting. Janitors is at the top of my list for all-time favorite series. The characters are well written, the plot is very entertaining. These books have something for everyone. Humor mixed with garage induced chaos.
Spencer and his friends are back, along with his dad. This time they are seeking out the Aurans, trying to find out how to destroy the Glop the Toxites are born from and what makes regular janitorial items magical. What they find is a new mix of problems and find out they don't know who to trust.
4 out of 5 stars. I would recommend reading this series in order. If you try to start with book 2 or 3, you won't know a Rubbish from a Grime.

Oh, that is a hard question! I've read several series along with my kids and there are so many that we love! I'll go with Fablehaven (but we love Percy Jackson, Gregor the Overlander, Mysterious Benedict Society, Septimus Heap, Adventurers Wanted, and many more!).
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great MG series out there. I'm not sure if I could pick just one. Gayle listed several that I love, including Tyler's.
ReplyDeleteI have a ton of favorites, Harry Potter of course, Seers, Matched, Cinder, Anything by Margret Peterson Haddix...just to name a few :)
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter for sure. I think. ;)
