Backcover Summary

There are more things to make from Sunday meeting programs than airplanes and fortune tellers:  now your kids can fold CTR shields, pioneer handcarts or the Salt Lake Temple.

Mormon Origami provide 25 simple to intermediate origami designs from the Book of Mormon and Church history.  These designs can be sued by teachers and parents as lesson handouts or family night activities to help children be reverent.  This unique skill will entertain and help illustrate principles as you include these gospel-oriented designs in  your lesson, activities, and everyday fun.

My Review

I jumped at the chance to review this book.  When it arrived, my middle daughter went straight to it.  She was definitely able to do some of the Level 1 examples, but had a harder time with the higher levels.  We did not use origami paper, but did cut her paper the way the book told her.  She thought it was a little challenging, but said that is what she enjoyed most about it.  I failed miserably at it the origami the first time I tried, but I will prevail!  What I loved most though, was the "Did you Know" questions and trivia in the book.

This book is a great idea for Family Home Evening projects and something fun to do anytime.  Little ones will need help, but it will be a great way to spend time together.
